I’ve lived here exactly one month and decided that I quickly wanted to make it home. It’s probably the first apartment I’ve ever gotten around to decorating that fast. Minus a few pieces of wall art (mainly in the bathroom), I’ve settled in nicely.

The bedroom. I wanted a comfortable, relaxing bedroom with a sort of “zen” feel. (Pay no attention to how the bed is made.) Wall art from Overstock, lamps from Home Goods, bedding from Bed Bath and Beyond, fur from Z Gallerie.

My closet. Every room deserves some style. (Side note: Yes, I’m aware I need more clothes and shoes
Rug from Fab.com (by Safavei), framed prints from wallart.com.

My living room. What you can’t see is the fireplace – I’m so excited to have a fireplace! Clock and glass bowl from Home Goods, candle holders from Pottery Barn, pillows from Pier 1.

Another view of the living room. That clock is a replica of what sits in Kensington, London. I love the industrial feel of it – and the teal pillows give a nice, bright pop to the room!

The dining room. I wanted a more modern feel/chic feel. Canvas from Overstock, glass bowl from Home Goods

It’s hard to get the right flow of a room, when you’re trying to break it up into two. Two suggestions: 1) one bright color in each, that is complimentary, will do wonders. 2) It’s hard to match wall art against one wall. Break it up with stark contrasts that are two different mediums. In this case, I chose a canvas and an actual art object.
