Paparazzi: Holidays Mean Gatherings

A Black Tie Affair

On December 4th, my boyfriend and I were invited to the home of Jim Rayborn and Courtney Rosellini for a black tie holiday party. Completely decked out the way a home should be for Christmas, the hosts themselves were dressed to the nines in fabulous black tie attire and welcomed their guests with amazing food (I’ve heard the mini sliders will change your life) and plenty of beverages.  Attendees dressed in their holiday finest – some getting into the spirit of the holidays with appropriate Christmas colors.

Many thanks to Jim and Courtney for the invite!  Shout outs also go to Natalie Cartner, John-Michael Scott, Tina Cruikshank, Bill Burlew, Amanda Deathrage, Taryn Fielder, Ryan Forsythe, Matthew Christian Davis, Eric Hemati, Windy Shepard, Lindsey Mask, Leah Dyrud, Dane Nielsen, Susan Ostrowski and many more!

A Holiday Ladies’ Brunch with a Fab Twist!

On Sunday, December 12th, I attended a fabulous ladies holiday brunch, hosted by Constance Christakos in her home.   She treated her guests to a warm holiday home, mimosas and make-your-own-crepes, courtesy of Crepe Amour.  Although not gluten-free, the feedback from her choice of catering was two thumbs-up all the way.

Crepe Amour opened in February of this year as a creperie and espresso bar and so far, it’s been an amazing success. Located directly on M Street in Georgetown, right below Georgetown Wing Company, the two brothers (pictured right) that started this business decided, only recently, that they wanted to to do more catering gigs.  It was a great idea on their part, as it’s a unique approach to catering a mid-day fete.

Some of the crepes the guests made (and enjoyed), omelete crepes, fruit crepes, strawberries with melted Nutella and powdered sugar crepes, and vegetarian crepes.

Many thanks to CC for hosting and shout outs to Kate Michael, Cheryl Romero, Erica McCants and all the lovely ladies I met there!

Yay for Birthdays – Booo for Departures

This past Friday marked a bittersweet moment for two very special people – the celebration of another birthday for Ms. Taryn Fielder and a Bon Voyage party for Mr. Eric Hemati.

The scene was set at a very populated Hudson bar – with most of those patrons there to express their wishes to the two being celebrated.  What made it fun: a friend reunion of sorts – with the holidays fast approaching it seems we all don’t get to see each other as much!

When the place felt a little too much like a sardine can, my boyfriend and I snuck over to Old Ebbitt Grill for a little late-night dining.

Shout outs go to: Vithaya Phongsavan (the man that took the awesome pictures), Amanda Deathrage, John-Michael Scott, Amy Senger, Mark Drapeau, Leah Dyrud, Alison Crumling, Natalie Cartner, Dane Nielsen, Matthew Christina Davis, Courtney Rosellini, Jim Rayborn, Tommy McFly, Susan Ostrowski, Steven Mandzik, Brandy-Michelle Hart, Stephen Saylor and Ryan Forsythe.
